WELCOME TO YOUR SURF SANCTUARY
The AIM Center in memory of Adir, Ilay and Matan focuses on Ocean therapy intervention programs based on three complementary pillars - ocean related sport activities, therapy programs and a community for long lasting friendships. Nestled in the ocean environment, it is here to provide a safe space for regaining strength and promoting physical and emotional achievements. The AIM Center is committed to making a profound and lasting impact on its participants, equipping them with the tools, resilience and respite that the ocean instils in a welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging.
The center is dedicated to honoring the values of humanity, compassion, and friendship that the boys lived their lives by, and focuses on nurturing diverse populations through values and practices related to the ocean.

The Three Pillars at the Core of the AIM Center

01
Ocean Related Sport Activities
Sports such as surfing have demonstrated psychological benefits for people of all ages. The AIM center provides participants the opportunity to be part of a sport that is deeply connected to nature, specifically water, which has been shown to produce significant and long-lasting improvements in self-esteem and mood.
02
Therapy programs
Surf therapy is an activity that uses mindfulness as a tool for relief and offers a source of respite from psychological symptoms and traumatic memories. Our professional and experienced team of therapists provide participants this complimentary form of treatment, proven to improve psychological health and well-being.
03
Community for Long Lasting Friendships
At the AIM center, participants are invited to create lasting social connections with “surfer” peer groups. The peer groups nurture a sense of belonging that is a key to increasing exposure to and enjoyment of the social elements linked to their individual experiences. Participants will develop friendships that will become a part of their daily support system.
The very essence of water sports such a surfing, naturally encourages and fosters a sense of community.

Our Story
The AIM Center was established to honor the memory of three spirited young men - Adir Mesika, Ilay Nachman, and Matan Eckstein - whose lives were tragically cut short on October 7, 2023, during a brutal attack by Hamas terrorists. Adir, Ilay, and Matan grew up together in Even Yehuda, Israel, and formed deep friendships through their love of the ocean, music, and surfing. The surf club in Polegwas their second home, where they found peace and joy in riding the waves. Their passion for surfing went beyond a hobby; it was a way of life and a means to connect with others. Through teaching young surfers, they became role models and fostered a strong community spirit. On the fateful morning of the attack, they met up on the beach before heading to the Nova Music festival in the south of Israel. Despite the unimaginable terror, their strength and bravery saved the lives of three young women, whom they managed to hide safely before confronting the terrorists unarmed. Inspired by their love for surfing and their generous spirits, the families of Adir, Ilay, and Matan have established the AIM Center.
